Finding workshops, courses and conferences on spiritual topics is not always easy. Unlike the advertisement of sales from a local supermarket, I don’t receive regular notices via snail or email, and even those that I do are limited in scope and relevance. Now it does not have to be this way. Faith and Wisdom opens a door to a universe of hundreds of opportunities; that is why its logo is featured on our website (right under the left menu bar). This website provides brief descriptions of lectures, classes, and conferences organized by a number of Christian denominations, including the Episcopal Church and the ELCA. You can then link directly to an event sponsor's site.

The site's goal is to be “your source for information on lifelong learning opportunities. Faith and Wisdom compiles events and programs throughout the world offered by some of the most distinguished organizations in North America and worldwide.” When searching these opportunities, you can limit your search to a particular denomination (i.e. Episcopal Church) or explore a list of ecumenical events. You can also specify geographic region. And there are many web-based classes offered by seminaries and other learning centers. To find these, choose “web-based instruction” or “satellite teleconference.” Finally, if you are an educational institution it’s easy to become an approved sponsor and then submit your own events for Faith and Wisdom.

It may take a little while to learn to use this site.For example, if you put in too many search criteria your search may come back empty. In my experience, it works best if you provide only one or two criteria (i.e., month/year and area or topic or learning method).
