Proyecto de Escritores de currículo Para la IX Provincia

Francisco Morales (Puerto Rico) compartió que el grupo de escritores del currículo se ha unificado, a pesar de que traen consigo diferentes culturas y necesidades; este currículo suplirá las distintas necesidades de las culturas y diócesis en la Provincia 9, en la gran diversidad de educación cristiana- “La Iglesia, un lugar para todas las edades y para todas las edades un lugar en la iglesia”. Este viaje/peregrinaje comenzó en el 2005 con una estrategia/foco de preparer un currículo y una estrategia programática para fortalecer a la Iglesia en su misión y crecimiento. La primera reunion tuvo 2 representantes de cada diócesis, quienes compartieron:

• Sus realidades
• Sus necesidades
• Sus proyecciones

En Abril del 2007, hubo un encuentro de teólogos para compartir pensamientos y sentimientos particulares de cada diócesis en Latino America (8 diócesis en 6 países) Los escritores pudieron continuar su trabajo gracias al trabajo de estos teólogos. Un documento fue escrito por lo teólogos; un programa para el ministerio con niños, jóvenes y adultos- del cual, están basadas las lecciones que actualmente fueron escritas. Ellos prepararon las lecciones o desarrollaron los temas basados en el trabajo preparado por los teólogos siguiendo la unificación y el consenso de los puntos que son mas importantes para nuestra fe:

1. Identidad – diferente culturas pero una sola identidad
2. Integración – todos los miembros de la provincia – esta es una integración de todas las culturas.
   a. La forma en la cual celebramos & adoramos (diferente formas y maneras) pero la misma.
   b. Totalidad de actividades creó una nueva metodología de Educación
   c. Con esta metodología las dinámicas y juegos fueron encontrados y experimentados ( ellos lo practicaron y lo ejercitaron)
3. Creatividad, felicidad, gozo y participacion – metodología necesitada
4. Adoración – momentos de adoración, de unirnos como episcopales.

Los escritores desarrollaron un convenio unos con otros, especialmente identificando los talentos, de manera tal el currículo según las edades pudiera ser escrito. Todo esto es en respuesta a la Iglesia y al Espíritu Santo. Cada lección según las edades se enfoca en el servicio, conocimiento, compartir y experimentar a Cristo.

b. 6 – 11 años
c. Jóvenes & Jóvenes adultos (12-23)
d. Adultos & envejecíentes (sabiduría)

El Editor Isaías Rodriguez está organizando todo el trabajo con los temas que fueron seleccionados del trabajo de los teólogos; haciendo una evaluación y priorizando las Sagradas Escrituras, los fundamentos de la fe, la iglesia como el pueblo de Dios, la liturgia, con especial foco en el Libro de Oración Común. Una proyección para el futuro, será aplicar esta nueva metodología en todas las diócesis, para todas las edades. Province IX Curriculum

Francisco Morales (Puerto Rico) shared that the curriculum writers’ group has come together as a unit, even though they bring different cultures and needs; this curriculum will meet the different needs of the cultures and dioceses within the P9. Within the great diversity of Christian education – “the church, a place for each age and for each age a place in the church.” This journey/pilgrimage began in 2005 with a strategy / focus to prepare a curriculum and a programmatic strategy to strengthen the church in its mission and growth. The first meeting had 2 reps from each diocese in the province who shared:

• Their realities
• Their necessities
• Their projects

In April 2007, there was a gathering of theologians to share thoughts and feelings that were particular of each diocese in Latin America (8 dioceses in 6 countries). The writers could continue their work because of the work of these theologians. A document was written by the theologians; a program for ministry with children, youth and adults – which the lessons that are currently being written are formed from.
They prepared the lessons or themes developed and based on work prepared by theologians following the unification on the consensus of points that are most important of our faith:

1. Identity – different cultures but one identity
2. Integration – all members of the province – this is an integration of the cultures
   a. The way we worship & adore (different manners and forms) but the same
   b. Totality of activities created a new methodology of Christian education
   c. Within this methodology dynamics and games were found and experienced (They felt and acted them out)
3. Creative, happiness, joyfulness and participation – methodology needed
4. Adoration – moments of worship coming together as Episcopalians

The writers developed a covenant with each other, especially noting talents so that different age levels of the curriculum could be written. All of this is in response to the Church and Holy Spirit. Each age level lesson focuses on serving, knowledge, sharing and experiencing Christ

d. Adults & elders (wisdom)

Editor Isaias Rodriguez is organizing all this work within the themes that were selected from what the theologians wrote; making an evaluation and prioritizing sacred scripture, fundamentals of the faith, church as the people of God, liturgy and special focus on the Book of Common Prayer. A projection for the future will be to imbed this new methodology in all the dioceses for all ages.
